Ather Energy Limited, one of India's leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, announced today the appointment of Surabhi Loshali as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective immediately.

In her new role, Loshali will oversee the company's entire HR function, including talent acquisition, leadership development, organisation design, employee experience, diversity and inclusion, HR technology, and people analytics.

Loshali brings over 20 years of human resources leadership experience across diverse industries including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, manufacturing, technology, and financial services. Most recently, she served as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Strides Pharma Science Limited, where she led global people initiatives across multiple geographies.

Her expertise spans people strategy, organisation development, talent management, large-scale transformation, people analytics, and culture building. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (HR) from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science & Chemical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.

Commenting on the appointment, Tarun Mehta, Executive Director and CEO of Ather Energy, emphasised the company's focus on organisation building. "At Ather, we've always believed that building great products starts with building great teams. As we scale across products, markets, and capabilities, staying focused on long-term organisation building becomes critical," Mehta said.

He added that Loshali's experience in building future-ready people systems while maintaining cultural values would be instrumental as the company continues its growth trajectory.

Loshali expressed enthusiasm about joining the organisation at this stage. "I am excited to join Ather at a stage where the organisation's culture and ways of working are a key part of its growth story. My focus will be on strengthening leadership depth, future ready skills, and people systems that grow with the business, while protecting the culture that makes Ather unique," she stated.

The appointment comes as Ather Energy continues to expand its presence in India's electric vehicle market. Founded in 2013 by Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain, the company currently offers two distinct product lines: the performance-oriented Ather 450 series and the Ather Rizta family scooter line, launched in 2024, with a total of nine variants across both lines.

Ather operates the widest two-wheeler fast charging network in the country through its Ather Grid infrastructure. As of September 30, 2025, the company has installed 4,322 fast chargers and neighbourhood chargers globally, including 4,282 across India and 40 across Nepal and Sri Lanka.
