Stratbeans Reports Gains in Dealership Training Outcomes for Two-Wheeler Manufacturer

A learning technology company has reported measurable improvements in workforce training outcomes for a two-wheeler manufacturer after integrating gamified assessments into the automaker's existing Learning Management System, pointing to a shift in how automotive companies are approaching frontline employee development.

Stratbeans, headquartered in Gurugram, said the initiative resulted in a 45% improvement in training effectiveness, a 30% increase in skill competency scores, and a 45% rise in participation and course completion rates across the manufacturer's dealership network. The company did not disclose the name of the automotive client.

Why Dealership Training Needed a New Approach

The programme replaced conventional training formats with scenario-based challenges, instant feedback mechanisms and reward systems designed around tasks relevant to dealership roles. Rather than presenting employees with generic training content, the system simulated situations drawn from their day-to-day responsibilities, with the goal of making learning more applicable and easier to retain.

The approach was intended to address a structural problem in distributed workforce training: employees completing courses without retaining or applying the material in practice. Traditional formats, often delivered in periodic classroom sessions, have long struggled to sustain engagement among large frontline teams — particularly those spread across multiple locations with limited supervision of learning outcomes.

Frontline training in the automotive sector faces particular challenges in this regard. Dealership staff typically turn over at higher rates than office-based employees, and the sales and service knowledge required is both specific and regularly updated as new vehicle models and service protocols are introduced. Maintaining consistent capability standards across hundreds of dealership locations is a logistical and pedagogical challenge that periodic training cycles are poorly suited to address.

Deploying Gamified Assessments Without Overhauling the LMS

By embedding assessments and feedback within the LMS rather than replacing the platform, Stratbeans said the solution could be deployed at scale without requiring the client to overhaul its existing technology infrastructure. The gamification layer was designed to encourage repeated, self-directed engagement with training material, with the aim of shifting learning from a scheduled obligation to a more continuous practice.

Sameer Nigam, CEO and Co-Founder of Stratbeans, said the focus needed to move beyond course completion toward measurable skill application. "By bringing gamification, contextual challenges and instant feedback into the learning experience, we are helping organisations make workforce development more engaging and measurable," he said. "This approach enables employees to continuously reinforce their knowledge while helping enterprises build stronger frontline capabilities at scale."

The results, if sustained, would represent a significant improvement over conventional benchmarks for digital learning programmes, where completion rates and post-training skill application have historically been difficult to move at scale.

Gamification's Growing Role in Corporate Learning

The initiative reflects a broader trend in corporate learning and development, where organisations are moving away from one-time training events toward ongoing, digitally delivered programmes that can be tracked, adjusted and scaled with relative ease. The use of gamification — incorporating elements such as points, leaderboards and scenario challenges — has gained traction across industries as a method for increasing voluntary engagement with mandatory training content.
