Sonalika Reports 16,223 Tractor Sales in April 2026, Registers 35.6% Growth
Sonalika’s April FY27 sales outpace industry growth estimates, supported by product portfolio and mechanisation trends.
Sonalika Tractors reported overall sales of 16,223 units in April 2026, marking its highest-ever April performance. The company recorded a year-on-year growth of 35.6%, compared to an estimated industry growth of 27% during the same period.
The performance comes at the start of FY27, with the company indicating gains in market share during the month. Sonalika attributed the growth to continued demand for mechanisation, supported by factors such as higher foodgrain production and GST-led cost adjustments in the agricultural sector.
The company stated that its product portfolio and operational execution remain aligned with evolving rural demand, which is being influenced by weather variability and increasing expectations around productivity. Sonalika currently caters to over 19 lakh farmers and operates a manufacturing facility positioned as one of the largest integrated tractor plants globally, along with in-house R&D capabilities.
Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director, International Tractors Limited, said the April performance reflects a shift towards technology-led farming and aligns with the company’s plans for FY27. He added that future growth will be driven by product development and expansion of farmer engagement initiatives. Sonalika also highlighted its focus on expanding its technology-led offerings, including products such as the Gold Series tractors, as part of its strategy for the current financial year.
