SML Isuzu Reports 6.3% Growth in June Vehicle Sales

Commercial vehicle manufacturer sees strong cargo vehicle demand offset passenger vehicle decline in monthly disclosure to stock exchanges

SML Isuzu Limited reported total vehicle sales of 1,871 units in June 2025, representing a 6.3% increase compared to 1,760 units sold in June 2024, according to a regulatory filing submitted to the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange on July 1, 2025.

The growth was driven by cargo vehicle sales, which rose 41.6% to 480 units in June 2025 from 339 units in the same month last year. However, passenger vehicle sales declined 2.1% to 1,391 units from 1,421 units in June 2024.

For the first quarter of fiscal year 2025-26 (April to June), SML Isuzu sold 4,926 vehicles compared to 4,379 units in the corresponding period last year, marking a 12.5% increase. Cargo vehicle sales during this three-month period surged 46.3% to 1,282 units from 876 units, while passenger vehicle sales grew 4.0% to 3,644 units from 3,503 units.

SML Isuzu Limited is a joint venture between Sumitomo Corporation of Japan and Isuzu Motors Limited, focusing on the manufacture and sale of light and medium commercial vehicles in India. The company is listed on both major Indian stock exchanges with scrip codes 505192 on BSE and SMLISUZUs on NSE.

The disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015, which mandates listed companies to regularly inform investors about material developments and operational performance.

The company secretary and compliance officer Parvesh Madan signed the regulatory filing, which reflects the company's ongoing obligation to maintain transparency with shareholders and market participants regarding its monthly sales performance.
