Skoda Expands Slavia Monte Carlo Colour Range With Two New Shades

Skoda Auto India has widened the colour options on its Slavia Monte Carlo sedan, introducing two new dual-tone finishes — Shimla Green and Steel Grey. The update, announced on July 21, 2026, is limited to 200 units and will be offered across the 1.0-litre automatic and 1.5-litre DSG variants.

The Monte Carlo trim, which draws on Skoda's long association with rallying, retains its existing design language, including a blacked-out exterior, Monte Carlo-specific styling cues, and a black-and-red cabin theme. The company said the new paint options are meant to give buyers looking for a more distinctive version of the Slavia additional choice, without altering the car's mechanical package.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Skoda Auto India, said the Monte Carlo range has continued to draw interest for its design and motorsport links, adding that the company aims to keep building on that appeal as it works to strengthen its sedan lineup.

Two engine options remain available on the Monte Carlo edition: a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol producing 85 kW (115 PS) and 178 Nm, paired with a six-speed torque-converter automatic, and a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit producing 110 kW (150 PS) and 250 Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The larger engine continues to feature Skoda's Active Cylinder Technology, which deactivates two cylinders under light load to improve fuel efficiency, along with plasma-coated cylinder liners for better thermal management.

Skoda has tied the Monte Carlo naming to its motorsport history, noting the company's participation in the Rallye Monte Carlo dating back to 1912. The broader Monte Carlo line-up, spanning the Slavia and Kushaq along with other models in Skoda's India portfolio, was also used earlier this year in a multi-car relay record attempt at a circuit in Coimbatore.

In India, Skoda currently sells four models — the Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq and Kodiaq — through a network of more than 340 touchpoints across 189 cities. The company reported selling 72,665 cars in India in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 107 percent.
