Simple Energy Expands Siemens Software Stack for Electric Vehicle Engineering

Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer Simple Energy has expanded its deployment of Siemens cloud-based software to scale product engineering and manage growing vehicle portfolio complexity.

The company extended its adoption of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, incorporating Teamcenter X for product lifecycle management and Designcenter X for advanced 3D vehicle engineering, replacing its legacy CAD systems. The technology stack includes variant configuration tools enabling a 150 percent bill of materials approach, allowing engineering teams to generate specific vehicle configurations from a master digital architecture.

Simple Energy Chief Technology Officer Kiran Poojary said the software integration provides greater control over complex variants and large assemblies, accelerating development timelines. Siemens Digital Industries Software Vice President and Managing Director for India Matthew Thomas added that the integrated lifecycle platform supports the manufacturer's operational scaling targets.
