Setco Automotive Enters Suspension Segment with Launch of Load Cushion and Torque Rod Bush
The company expands its commercial vehicle product range with new suspension components designed to enhance ride quality, durability, and performance for both OEMs and the aftermarket.
Setco Automotive Limited, a leading manufacturer of clutches for medium and heavy commercial vehicles (MHCVs), has announced its entry into the suspension segment with the launch of two new products—Load Cushion and Torque Rod Bush. This development marks a strategic expansion of the company’s commercial vehicle portfolio.
The Load Cushion is designed to absorb vertical loads and road shocks in heavy-duty applications. Positioned between the chassis and axle or leaf spring assembly, it helps maintain ride comfort and vehicle balance. Commonly used in heavy commercial vehicles, trailers, and tippers with bogie suspensions, Setco’s Load Cushion is built using elastic rubber with durable rubber-to-metal bonding, providing compressive strength and long-term performance.
The Torque Rod Bush, used in trucks, trailers, and buses, serves as a suspension component mounted at both ends of the torque rod that links the axle to the chassis. It helps isolate road shocks, reduce vibrations, and support axle articulation under demanding terrain conditions. The bush is engineered for high dynamic load endurance and is designed to assist in controlling noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH).
Setco Automotive’s Chairman and Managing Director, Harish Sheth, said the addition of these suspension products follows the company’s earlier entry into the engine cooling segment and aligns with its goal to address customer needs with quality-focused solutions.
Established in 1982, Setco Automotive has a diversified product range that includes clutches, brake linings, flywheels, lubricants, and coolant systems. The company operates five manufacturing units and has a global presence in regions including the US, UK, SAARC, and the Middle East.
