Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (Motherson) has signed a joint venture agreement with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics to provide integrated supply chain solutions for the global automotive industry.

The joint venture, to be incorporated in Dubai, will combine Hellmann’s logistics network and technology capabilities with Motherson’s automotive supply chain operations. The company will focus on end-to-end logistics services, covering procurement, transportation and distribution across global markets.

The partners said the JV will provide access to a network of over 30,000 suppliers and established relationships with automotive OEMs. It is expected to support supply chain planning and execution, while aiming to improve efficiency and cost management in global logistics operations.

The initiative is also aligned with both companies’ carbon net-zero targets, with a focus on reducing emissions across logistics processes.

Arjun Kochhar, CEO, Logistics Solutions Business Division at Motherson, said the partnership is part of the group’s D.E.M.A.L. (Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Assembly and Logistics) strategy and will help build specialised platforms to support evolving supply chain requirements.

Madhav Kurup, Global COO – Airfreight, Seafreight and Contract Logistics at Hellmann, said the partnership aims to integrate processes and improve coordination across global operations.

Motherson operates over 425 facilities across 47 countries and supplies components to global automakers. Hellmann operates in 61 countries, handling more than 20 million shipments annually across air, sea, road and rail transport.
