Royal Enfield recorded monthly sales of 89,540 motorcycles in June 2025, marking a 22% increase compared to the same period last year. The Chennai-based manufacturer saw domestic sales reach 76,957 units, representing 16% growth year-on-year, while exports surged 79% to 12,583 motorcycles compared to 7,024 units in June 2024.
The company's year-to-date performance for 2025-26 shows total sales of 265,528 motorcycles, up 17% from 226,907 units in the corresponding period of 2024-25. Domestic sales for the first quarter reached 228,779 units, reflecting 12% growth, while exports totaled 36,749 units, a 65% increase from the previous year.
B Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Enfield, attributed the performance to consistent momentum across markets. He cited the brand's growing community of riders and performance in key global markets as factors contributing to the growth.
Founded in 1901, Royal Enfield operates as the oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production. The company established its Indian manufacturing presence in Madras in 1955 and has since become a significant player in India's mid-sized motorcycle segment. The brand's current lineup includes models such as the Bear 650, Classic 650, Guerrilla 450, Hunter 350, and Himalayan 450, among others.
The company recently introduced its Flying Flea brand, targeting urban mobility markets. Royal Enfield maintains operations through more than 2,000 stores across India and nearly 850 stores in over 60 countries globally.
During June, Royal Enfield launched the 21st edition of its Himalayan Odyssey, a 2,600-kilometer expedition spanning 18 days through Ladakh, Spiti, and Zanskar regions. The company also introduced its Conscious Collection apparel line, featuring products made from recycled materials and organic cotton as part of its sustainability initiative.
Royal Enfield operates two production facilities near Chennai and maintains technical centers in the UK and India. The company has six assembly facilities across Bangladesh, Nepal, Brazil, Thailand, Argentina, and Colombia to support its international operations.
