Royal Enfield has launched the new Classic 350 motorcycle in Nepal, featuring significant upgrades while maintaining its vintage design. The motorcycle will be produced at the company's CKD (Completely Knocked Down) facility in Birgunj, Nepal, which was established in June 2023 in collaboration with the Triveni Group.
The new Classic 350 starts at NPR 5.55 lakhs for the entry-level Heritage variant and introduces dual-channel ABS as a standard feature across all variants for the first time in Nepal. Additional upgrades include LED headlamps, LED pilot lamps, a Type-C USB charger, and a gear position indicator.
The motorcycle is available in five variants: Heritage, Heritage Premium, Signals, Dark, and Chrome, with seven color options across these variants. The Heritage series comes in Madras Red and Jodhpur Blue, while Heritage Premium is available in Medallion Bronze. The Signals variant is offered in Commando Sand, the Dark series in Gun Grey and Stealth Black, and the Chrome variant in Emerald.
Speaking on the launch, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Enfield, noted the company's growth in Nepal, stating that eight out of ten enthusiasts in the middleweight motorcycle segment are choosing Royal Enfield motorcycles.
Royal Enfield's CKD facility in Nepal has an annual assembly capacity of 20,000 units and is one of six such facilities operated by the company worldwide, alongside locations in Brazil, Thailand, Colombia, Argentina, and Bangladesh.
The Classic 350 has been a cornerstone model for Royal Enfield since its introduction in 1950, known for its timeless design and riding experience. The company has positioned it as "Trending since 1950," highlighting its enduring appeal while incorporating modern engineering.
Royal Enfield, a division of Eicher Motors Limited, is the oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production, having manufactured motorcycles since 1901. The company established its first manufacturing plant in Madras (now Chennai) in 1955, which helped it gain a foothold in India's growing mid-sized two-wheeler segment.
The company currently operates more than 2,000 stores across India and nearly 850 stores in over 60 countries globally. Its product lineup includes several other models such as the Bear 650, Guerrilla 450, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, and the recently introduced Flying Flea electric vehicle brand.
