Revolt Motors, a leading electric motorcycle manufacturer from India, has launched its flagship models, the RV400 and RV400 BRZ, in Sri Lanka. The event, held at Water’s Edge, marked a step toward promoting eco-friendly transportation solutions in the country.
The first dealership has been established on Maradana Road, Colombo, with plans to expand operations across 11 additional locations, including Kurunegala, Madurankuliya, Matara, Embilipitiya, Elpitiya, Batticaloa, Kirindiwela, Horana, Kelaniya, and Tangalle.
The launch was attended by Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises Pvt Ltd, and Bob Kundanmal, Chairman of Evolution Auto, Revolt Motors' exclusive distributor in Sri Lanka. Both emphasised the role of electric mobility in driving sustainable and innovative transportation solutions.
The RV400 is designed to cater to Sri Lankan riders, offering a range of up to 160 kilometers on a single charge and a top speed of 85 km/h. It is equipped with customisable riding modes, including Eco, City, and Sport, along with AI-enabled connectivity and a mobile app interface. These features aim to balance performance, technology, and affordability.
According to Anjali Rattan, the RV400 represents a modern and sustainable mobility solution that addresses environmental concerns and offers cost-effective transportation. She highlighted the importance of providing cleaner alternatives to traditional vehicles to reduce carbon emissions.
Bob Kundanmal expressed optimism about introducing Revolt Motors' products in Sri Lanka and emphasised the significance of partnerships with local entities like Atman Group and Sino Lanka Private Limited. He noted that these collaborations will aid in building the necessary infrastructure and after-sales support to promote electric vehicle adoption in the country.
The RV400 includes an IP67-rated battery, making it durable for varied weather conditions. It also features dual disc brakes, a combined braking system, adjustable suspension, and advanced AI-enabled functionalities. These include real-time alerts, geo-fencing, reverse mode, keyless ignition, navigation assistance, call alerts, and remote start, accessible via a mobile app.
The launch event included live demonstrations of the RV400’s features and performance. It highlighted the motorcycle's focus on blending technology with practical use for urban commuting and long-distance travel. Sri Lankan riders can now explore these electric models at authorised dealerships to learn more about their features and benefits.
