Renault Group announced a 1.3% year-on-year increase in global vehicle sales during the first half of 2025, with total registrations reaching 1,169,773 units. The Group’s brands – Renault, Dacia, and Alpine – demonstrated resilience amid a complex market environment, bolstered by strong international performance and continued electrification efforts.
In Europe, the Group recorded 708,106 vehicle registrations, marking a 5.4% increase in a passenger car (PC) market that declined by 1.0%. The Renault brand climbed to second place in the region’s PC and light commercial vehicle (LCV) rankings, with the Clio becoming the best-selling model across all channels. Renault sold 394,278 PCs (+8.4%) and continued to lead in hybrid and electric segments, with electrified vehicles accounting for 59% of its total sales, including a 57% surge in electric vehicle sales.
Dacia maintained its presence among Europe’s top retail brands with 308,957 PC sales (+1.1%), supported by consistent demand for Sandero and Duster. The Spring EV also recorded a 62.5% rise in sales. Electrified vehicles now account for 23.5% of Dacia’s total sales, driven largely by hybrid growth.
Alpine reported an 85% rise in sales with 5,015 units, led by the A290 electric city car. Electric vehicles comprised 76% of Alpine’s portfolio in the first half, reinforcing the brand’s transition toward performance electrification.
Outside Europe, Renault expanded significantly, with a 16.3% sales increase across international markets. Strong performances in Brazil (+8.8%), Argentina (+96.7%), Morocco (+48%), and South Korea (+150%) contributed to this growth, fueled by the popularity of models like Kardian and Grand Koleos.
Renault Group is continuing its product momentum with seven new launches planned for 2025, including the electric Renault 4 E-Tech and Dacia Bigster, as well as strategic international rollouts such as the Boreal SUV. The Group aims to continue balancing volume and value while advancing toward its carbon neutrality goals in Europe by 2040.
