Raptee.HV Partners with Rajalakshmi Engineering College to Establish EV Centre of Excellence

Raptee.HV announced on Wednesday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC) to establish a Centre of Excellence for electric mobility at the institution's campus in Chennai.

The 3,000 sq. ft. facility, built with an investment of Rs 50 lakh, has been set up under the company's educational outreach initiative, Raptee.HV Academy. It is designed to offer practical training, internships, site visits, and joint research avenues for students across electrical, electronics, and automotive engineering disciplines.

The laboratory houses a Raptee.HV T30, core electric vehicle powertrain components, and a naked motorcycle platform integrated with digital twin technology. It also provides prototyping infrastructure focused on battery packs, electric motors, power electronics, charging equipment, vehicle communication networks, and real-time diagnostics systems.

Dinesh Arjun, Co-founder & CEO, Raptee.HV, said, "The next generation of mobility will be built by engineers who understand the machine from the cell to the software. But you cannot build that understanding from a classroom alone. You have to get your hands dirty, take systems apart, question how they work, experiment and build again. The HV Lab is our attempt to bring that experience into engineering education."
