Raptee.HV Begins Large-Scale Deliveries of T30 Electric Motorcycle in Chennai

The Chennai-based startup, which uses car-grade high-voltage technology in two-wheelers, has started delivering its T30 motorcycle at ₹2.39 lakh with an eight-year battery warranty.

Chennai-based electric motorcycle company Raptee.HV has commenced large-scale customer deliveries of its T30 motorcycle, marking a shift from development to commercial deployment after seven years of research and testing.

Priced at ₹2.39 lakh (ex-showroom), the T30 comes with an eight-year battery warranty and a three-year vehicle warranty. Each buyer is assigned a single point of contact for service and has access to a roadside assistance programme.

The T30 is built around high-voltage technology (HV-Tec) sourced from the electric car segment — a first for the Indian two-wheeler market. The motorcycle supports fast home charging and is compatible with the CCS2 public charging standard used by electric cars, giving it access to an existing and growing public charging network. Raptee.HV says the vehicle is priced at parity with comparable petrol motorcycles in the same performance segment.

Chennai is the company's first operational market. Raptee.HV plans to enter Bengaluru in April 2026 with a showroom and service centre, and aims to cover all major South Indian state capitals by the end of the year. An expansion into Western India is also planned before 2027.

The company has received recognition from the Asia Book of Records for the highest average distance and the longest distance covered by a production electric motorcycle in India — tests intended to demonstrate the platform's real-world endurance.

Raptee.HV was founded in 2019 and has developed its technology in-house. The broader Indian electric two-wheeler market has grown steadily in recent years, driven by government subsidies, rising fuel costs, and expanding charging infrastructure. Established players such as Ola Electric, Ather Energy, and TVS iQube currently lead the segment, though the premium performance category remains less crowded.

CEO and co-founder Dinesh Arjun described the delivery milestone as the beginning of a customer relationship rather than its conclusion, stating that the company's goal was to set a benchmark in ownership experience alongside the product itself.
