Quantum Energy partners with Battery Smart to enable battery swapping for e-scooters across India
The partnership aims to address range anxiety and long charging downtimes for ride-hailing, last-mile delivery, and connectivity companies utilising Quantum's electric fleet vehicles.
Quantum Energy has announced a strategic collaboration with Battery Smart. Through this partnership, Battery Smart's extensive network of over 900 swap stations across 25+ cities will facilitate battery swapping for Quantum's electric scooters.
The partnership aims to address range anxiety and long charging downtimes for ride-hailing, last-mile delivery, and connectivity companies utilising Quantum's electric fleet vehicles. By leveraging Battery Smart's quick swap infrastructure, drivers can spend more time on the road, increasing productivity and completing more deliveries. Additionally, Battery Smart's battery-as-a-service model will reduce the cost of replacing batteries at the end of their life, lowering the total cost of owning a Quantum Electric scooter.
Chetana C., Director, Quantum E-Scooters, speaking on the announcement said, "Our partnership with Battery Smart aligns with our vision to accelerate the transition to electric last-mile transportation. By facilitating easy battery swapping for our commercial fleet customers, we can reduce their EV ownership costs and enable them to scale their electric fleets across India."
Yogiraj Gogia, Senior Director of Partnerships and Fleet Business at Battery Smart, commented, "Through this partnership, we aim to further drive EV adoption in India by providing innovative commercial EV fleets access to our expanding network of swap stations, empowering more drivers to join the EV revolution."
With Battery Smart's swapping stations strategically located near high-density delivery and traffic areas, Quantum Energy scooters can service routes more efficiently. Businesses transitioning to Quantum's electric fleet will benefit from lower maintenance costs, reduced emissions, and a smaller carbon footprint in their mobility operations.
