The Confederation of Indian Industry's Northern Region announced new office bearers at its annual meeting in New Delhi on 16 April, naming Puneet Kaura as Chairperson to lead industrial growth across ten states and union territories for 2026–27.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region has appointed Puneet Kaura, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Samtel Avionics, as its Chairperson for the 2026–27 term. The announcement was made during the organisation's annual regional meeting, held on 16 April in New Delhi alongside The Future India Summit, which carried the theme "Navigating Change. Driving Growth."

Together, the two will oversee CII's Northern Region operations spanning seven states — Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh — as well as the Union Territories of Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh.
At the meeting, Kaura outlined six strategic priorities for the region in the coming year: Policy Advocacy; Technology and Innovation Enablement; MSME Growth and Competitiveness; Skill Development; Sustainability and Community Engagement; and Membership Engagement.
