Prawaas 5.0 concluded today after three days of exhibitions, conferences, awards and business networking, reinforcing its position as a key platform for India's passenger transport industry. The event coincided with the tenth anniversary of the Bus & Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI) and brought together stakeholders from government, industry and the broader mobility ecosystem.
Shri Pravinbhai Mali, Transport Minister of Gujarat, visited the exhibition on its concluding day and interacted with exhibitors and industry representatives. Shri Dineshbhai Makwana, Member of Parliament from Ahmedabad, also attended.
The edition recorded 20,129 registrations, 227 exhibitors, 20 startups, and 15 conference sessions featuring 120 speakers, with participation from 31 states and union territories and 11 countries. Sessions covered topics including electrification, policy reform, multimodal connectivity, financing, digital transformation, road safety, tourism mobility, insurance, driver skilling and startup innovation.
The valedictory session was attended by BOCI office-bearers including Chairman Jagdeo Singh Khalsa, President Prasanna Patwardhan, National Vice President Alah Baksh Afzal, General Secretary Dharmaraj D. R., and Treasurer Harsh Kotak, alongside Prawaas 5.0 Convenor Siddiq Gandhi and Jagdish Patankar, Executive Chairman of event curator MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications Pvt. Ltd.
Two memorandums of understanding were signed during the event. One, between Rotary International District 3080 and BOCI Naari, the organisation's women's wing, aims to support the skilling, licensing, employment and self-ownership of women as professional drivers. The second, also with Rotary International District 3080, focuses on driver mental well-being and road safety awareness.
The Bharat Prawaas Awards 2026 recognised 72 awardees through 50 BOCI Excellence Awards and 22 redBus People's Choice Awards, covering categories such as operational excellence, innovation, sustainability, safety and customer service. redBus served as the Awards Partner. Separate Exhibitor Awards were also presented.
BOCI President Prasanna Patwardhan said the anniversary edition reflected how collaboration, innovation and policymaking are shaping the future of passenger mobility in India, adding that the gathering brought operators, policymakers, manufacturers and technology providers onto a common platform.

The event was organised by BOCI, hosted by the Akhil Gujarat Pravasi Vahan Sanchalak Mahamandal, co-hosted by the Gujarat Luxury Cab Owners Association and the Gujarat Tourist Vehicles Operators Association, and curated by MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications Pvt.
