Popular Vehicles Receives LOI for NEXA Workshop in Perumbavoor
The automotive dealership company plans to invest Rs 2 crore in establishing a facility with five service bays, targeting approximately 500 vehicles monthly in Ernakulam District, Kerala.
Popular Vehicles and Services Limited has received a Letter of Intent to establish a NEXA workshop in Perumbavoor, Ernakulam District, Kerala, the company announced today in a regulatory filing to stock exchanges.
The facility will feature two dedicated service bays and three bodyshop bays, with an expected monthly capacity of approximately 500 vehicles. This includes around 400 service vehicles and 100 bodyshop vehicles. The total investment for the project is estimated at Rs 2 crore.
The workshop will operate alongside the existing NEXA Studio in Perumbavoor, aiming to provide integrated service solutions to customers in the region. The facility is designed to deliver standardized service experiences consistent with the NEXA brand positioning.
Naveen Philip, Promoter and Managing Director of Popular Vehicles and Services Limited, stated that the expansion reflects the company's continued partnership with Maruti Suzuki and focus on service infrastructure development. He noted that expanding service and bodyshop operations aligns with the company's strategy to increase service revenue contribution and enhance profitability.
Popular Vehicles and Services Limited operates multi-brand automobile dealerships across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. The company, part of the Kuttukaran Group, maintains an extensive network comprising 64 showrooms, 154 authorized service centers, and operations spanning 46 districts across four states.
