Omega Seiki Mobility has launched the OSM Vextra, its first fast-speed electric two-wheeler priced at ₹99,900, as the company expands from commercial vehicles into the personal mobility segment.
The electric scooter, manufactured at the company's Faridabad facility, offers a top speed of 70 km/h and a claimed real-world range of over 110 kilometers per charge. The vehicle is powered by a 3.45 kWh LMFP battery with IP67 rating and a 3 kW brushless DC hub motor.
According to Dr. Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility, the launch represents the company's effort to provide practical electric mobility solutions beyond metropolitan areas. "Vextra reflects our commitment to build technology-led electric vehicles for everyday India — not just for metros, but for Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities," Narang stated.
The scooter features three riding modes—Eco, City, and Sports—and includes a 3.5-inch color LCD display showing state of charge, speed, and distance to empty. Additional features include USB charging, reverse parking assist, and optional GSM connectivity. The vehicle can climb gradients of up to 12 degrees and charges from 0 to 80 percent in four hours.
Omega Seiki Mobility plans to distribute the Vextra through its network of over 200 dealerships across Tier I, II, and III cities in India. The company has also announced plans to export the vehicle to African markets.
The Faridabad manufacturing facility has an annual production capacity of 25,000 units for the Vextra. The company has indicated plans to launch an electric motorcycle for Middle East and African markets in the future.
Gaurav Kumar, Vice President of Strategy and Operations for the two-wheeler business, described the Vextra as designed around urban mobility patterns in Indian cities, combining technology, comfort, and efficiency.
The launch comes as India's electric two-wheeler market grows amid rising fuel prices, urban congestion, and government support for electric vehicle adoption. The segment has seen increased consumer demand for higher-speed, longer-range electric scooters over entry-level models.
Omega Seiki Mobility, part of the Anglian Omega Group, previously focused on electric cargo carriers and commercial passenger vehicles. The company manufactures vehicles with features meeting AIS-156 battery management standards and combined braking system requirements.
