Olectra Adopts Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Platform For EV Product Development
Olectra will use Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform to support model-based engineering, virtual validation and faster development of electric bus and truck platforms.
Olectra Greentech has partnered with Dassault Systèmes to adopt the 3DEXPERIENCE platform as part of its digital product development strategy for electric mobility.
The platform will integrate product design, simulation, manufacturing and lifecycle management into a single collaborative environment, enabling Olectra to transition toward a model-based engineering approach aligned with global OEM practices.
According to the companies, the implementation is expected to support virtual simulation and validation before physical prototyping, improve coordination across engineering and manufacturing teams, and reduce product development timelines.
Olectra said the platform adoption comes as it expands investments in new electric bus and truck platforms. The Hyderabad-based EV manufacturer currently has more than 3,800 electric vehicles deployed across India and an order book exceeding 10,000 vehicles.
Mahesh Babu, Managing Director, Olectra Greentech, said the collaboration with Dassault Systèmes and adoption of the platform would help the company develop future products to global standards while improving speed and precision in engineering and development.
Deepak NG, Managing Director, India, Dassault Systèmes, said the partnership reflects the industry’s shift toward integrated and platform-driven vehicle development supported by virtual engineering technologies.
The companies said the collaboration aligns with a broader industry move toward digital engineering ecosystems aimed at reducing development complexity and supporting next-generation EV architectures.
