Ola Electric Opens Sales and Service Network to Dealer Partners
The EV maker will expand through dealer partners while company-owned outlets focus on brand experience, with a nationwide dealership footprint targeted by Diwali 2026.
Ola Electric has announced that it will open its sales and service network to dealer partners across India, marking a change in its retail strategy as it expands beyond its company-owned store model. The company said the transition comes five years after launching its first electric scooters and reflects the evolving maturity of the domestic electric two-wheeler market.
Under the revised strategy, company-owned stores will increasingly focus on brand and product experience, while dealer partners will take on a larger role in local sales and aftersales operations. Ola Electric expects the dealership programme to achieve meaningful on-ground scale by Diwali 2026.
Company Stores to Focus on Brand Experience, Dealers on Local Sales
"Company stores will now be where customers experience the brand and the product at their best, while our dealer partners carry that experience into every town and neighbourhood in India," said Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Ola Electric.
Why Ola Electric Is Bringing in Dealer Partners
The company said the decision follows a month-long engagement with dealers across the country. According to Ola Electric, dealers cited the company's product portfolio and local market reach as factors that could help expand sales and support wider EV adoption.
What Dealer Partners Get: Customer Base, Portfolio and Aftersales Opportunity
For dealer partners, the programme includes access to Ola Electric's customer base of more than one million EV riders, its portfolio of scooters, motorcycles and energy products, as well as a recurring service opportunity from its installed vehicle base. The company also said additional energy products are planned.
BVR Subbu Rejoins Ola Electric as Senior Advisor
As part of the transition, BVR Subbu, former President of Hyundai Motor India, has rejoined Ola Electric as Senior Advisor to support the rollout. Subbu had previously served on the company's board and has also mentored Chairman and Managing Director Bhavish Aggarwal.
