Odisha to Host Clean Energy Expo as State Targets Green Hub Status by 2036
Over 200 companies from 20 countries will gather in Bhubaneswar in February for Eastern India's largest cleantech exhibition, featuring solar, battery, and EV technologies.
The Odisha Cleantech Global Expo will take place February 12-13, 2026, in Bhubaneswar, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and investors focused on clean energy and sustainable mobility. The event represents the first large-scale cleantech exhibition in Eastern India, with confirmed participation from companies in Australia, Germany, France, the United States, and India.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi recently announced the state's commitment to becoming India's green energy hub by 2036. The announcement aligns with Odisha's renewable energy target of 10 GW and efforts to strengthen its energy supply chain.
Organizers expect more than 10,000 business visitors from Odisha and neighboring states, along with 1,000 conference delegates. Confirmed exhibitors include Saatvik Green Energy, Navitas, Australian Premium Solar, Gautam Solar, Eastman, and Diode EV, among others.
The exposition will feature pavilions dedicated to battery energy storage, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, solar technology, green hydrogen, and smart grids. Programming includes the Clean Energy Leadership Conference, professional workshops, leadership roundtables, and business-to-business networking sessions.
Debi Prasad Dash, Executive Director of NetZero Energy Transition Association (NETRA), noted that both central and state governments have increased their focus on clean energy, making Eastern India an emerging market for global companies. The event will serve as a platform for product launches and business networking.
The Odisha Cleantech Association, which launched recently with over 50 industry members, is supporting the event. The association focuses on advancing renewables, circular economy initiatives, and electric vehicle adoption in the state.
Several organizations are involved in the expo, including the National Solar Energy Federation of India, Energy Efficiency Services Limited, Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster, and the India Association of Energy Management Professional.
The event targets the Eastern India market, including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. Odisha is exploring technologies such as tidal energy, agro-photovoltaics, floating solar, and battery energy storage systems for grid modernization.
