Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated Oben Electric's 75th showroom in Nagpur on November 18, 2025, marking a significant expansion for the Indian electric motorcycle manufacturer.
The new facility, located in Hanuman Nagar, includes both a showroom and an Oben Care service center. This brings Oben Electric's total presence in Maharashtra to seven showrooms, part of a broader network of 75 outlets across India.
The company plans to expand to over 150 showrooms and service centers by the end of the current financial year. Oben Electric currently operates in major Indian cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Kochi, Jaipur, Amritsar, Hyderabad, and Lucknow.
Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric, attributed the expansion to strong customer response. "The launch of our 75th showroom in Nagpur reinforces our commitment to making premium commuter electric motorcycles more accessible," she said, highlighting the company's focus on in-house research and development.
The company's flagship product, the Oben Rorr EZ Sigma, is available in two variants with 3.4 kWh and 4.4 kWh battery capacities. The motorcycle offers a range of up to 175 kilometers on a single charge and reaches a top speed of 95 kilometers per hour. Starting at ₹1.16 lakh, the model features three ride modes and is equipped with a five-inch color display with navigation and smartphone connectivity.
Oben Electric's batteries use LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) technology, which the company says provides better heat resistance and lifecycle durability compared to conventional options. The Rorr EZ Sigma is also available for purchase on Flipkart and Amazon.
The company offers round-the-clock customer support and maintains a 90 percent issue-resolution rate within 72 hours. Each showroom's service center is staffed with certified technicians trained to handle the company's in-house developed components, including batteries, motors, and vehicle control units.
Founded in August 2020, Oben Electric operates a 3.5-acre manufacturing facility in Bengaluru with an annual production capacity of 100,000 units. The company holds more than 25 patents for its proprietary technology and positions itself as an early entrant in India's electric motorcycle market.
