Numeros Motors Launches New E-Scooter in Hyderabad at ₹1.12 Lakh
Numeros Motors Enters Personal Mobility Segment with Diplos Max, a Feature-Rich Electric Scooter Designed for Indian Roads
Numeros Motors unveiled its new multipurpose electric scooter, Diplos Max, in Hyderabad on Thursday. Priced at ₹1,12,199 (ex-showroom), the e-scooter marks the company's entry into the personal mobility segment.
The company claims to have conducted extensive testing covering 13.9 million kilometers across various geographical conditions in India before the launch. The Diplos platform features dual disc brakes, LED lighting, and smart features including theft alerts and vehicle tracking.
"We are excited with the overwhelming response from the southern markets, particularly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana," said Soundararajan S, Vice President of Engineering at Numeros Motors, noting that the vehicle is designed and manufactured in India.
The e-scooter's chassis, battery, motor, and controller are integrated for optimal performance, according to the company. It also features a square chassis and wider tires designed to provide grip across different terrains.
Numeros Motors is currently operating in 14 cities and plans to expand its dealer network to 170 locations by the end of the 2025-26 financial year.
The launch comes at a time when India's electric vehicle market is experiencing significant growth. Government initiatives promoting clean mobility and increasing consumer awareness about environmental impacts have contributed to the rising demand for electric two-wheelers in the country. Industry reports indicate that electric two-wheeler sales in India have more than doubled in the past year.
The electric two-wheeler segment in India has become increasingly competitive, with both established automotive manufacturers and new startups entering the market. Analysts suggest that features focusing on safety, reliability, and practical range will be key differentiators as the market matures.
