Nissan Magnite Achieves Export Milestone, Completes E20 Compatibility Across Models

Nissan Motor India announced today that its Magnite SUV has reached 50,000 export units since launch while also achieving complete E20 fuel compatibility across all powertrain options. The company reported consolidated wholesale dispatches of 8,567 units in February 2025, with exports accounting for 6,239 units, representing a 97 percent year-on-year growth compared to February 2024.

The Magnite's naturally aspirated BR10 engine is now E20 compliant, joining the turbocharged HR10 petrol engine which became E20-compatible in August 2024. This development aligns with the company's sustainability initiatives and evolving environmental standards.

Nissan began exporting the Left-Hand Drive variant of the Magnite in January 2025, shipping approximately 2,900 units to Latin American markets from Chennai's Kamarajar Port. By February-end, the company had exported over 10,000 units of the LHD Magnite to markets across Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia Pacific regions.

"The Magnite continues to make its mark not only in India but also in global markets," said Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India. "This achievement highlights the growing trust in Nissan's ability to deliver quality, innovation, and performance."

The Magnite is now available in more than 65 countries in both Right-Hand Drive and Left-Hand Drive configurations. The export milestone reinforces Nissan's global strategy and strengthens India's position as a key manufacturing and export hub for the Japanese automaker.

Nissan Motor India, established in 2010 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. Japan, operates a manufacturing plant and R&D center in Chennai. The company, along with its global alliance partner Renault, has invested $1.8 billion in the Indian economy, creating approximately 70,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The Magnite, Nissan's compact SUV offering in India, has been a significant product for the company since its introduction, featuring numerous safety and convenience features that have helped establish its position in the competitive SUV segment.
