Nexon Geochem Private Limited announced on Wednesday the completion of the first phase of technical evaluation and benchmarking of Indian-origin raw materials with its Russian technology partner, Giredmet, to manufacture high-performance Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets.

The successful testing of the first batch allows the company to move toward pilot production, technical qualification, and domestic customer validation. Nexon Geochem is developing an integrated domestic manufacturing chain to convert Indian raw materials into finished permanent magnets across the N35 to N52 grade range.

How the Nd-Fe-B Magnet Evaluation Was Conducted

Under the evaluation protocol, Nexon supplied domestically sourced Nd-Pr oxide, iron, and ferroboron to Giredmet's facility in Russia. The technical assessment verified the conversion of Nd-Pr oxide into Nd-Pr metal, examined chemical composition and impurity profiles, and benchmarked critical magnetic performance metrics.

Nexon Geochem's Next Steps: Pilot Production and Customer Validation

"This is a critical accomplishment for Nexon because we have technically validated the pathway for integrating Indian-origin raw materials into the required technology platform," said Praveen Choudhary, Founder of Nexon Geochem. "Our focus now is to take this validated route into pilot production and customer applications in India."
