New Hyundai Venue India Launch on November 4

Hyundai is readying the second-generation Venue for its India debut on November 4, 2025, Autocar India can confirm. Sources tell us that series production of the new Venue has begun at the brand’s all-new Talegoan plant in Maharashtra.  Codenamed QU2i, the new Venue will bring a comprehensive redesign, more features and technology, and significant interior updates, while continuing to compete in the hotly contested compact SUV segment that includes models such as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Kia Sonet.

Although this is a full-model change, the new Venue is expected to continue to sit on the same platform as the outgoing model. The familiar set of powertrains is also expected to carry over — the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre diesel, and the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines will all return, paired with manual and automatic gearbox options. Spy shots have confirmed that Hyundai will also continue to offer the sportier N Line version, likely to follow shortly after the standard model’s launch.

In terms of styling cues, the new Venue is expected to heavily from Hyundai’s larger SUVs, most notably the Creta. Spy images reveal a bolder front end featuring quad LED headlamps, L-shaped DRLs, and a connected light bar stretching across the bonnet, all framed by a larger Parametric grille with rectangular slats — a design cue now common to Hyundai’s global SUV family.

Inside, expect a completely new dashboard design, a dual-screen layout for infotainment and instrumentation, and significantly upgraded materials and finishes. Many of the components, including the switchgear and infotainment interface, are expected to be shared with the Creta and other Hyundai-Kia models, resulting in a more premium cabin experience. Equipment levels are also set to rise — expect features such as ADAS tech, a larger touchscreen, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, and an expanded Hyundai Bluelink connected suite. Overall refinement and fit-finish levels are expected to see a noticeable improvement.

Since its launch in May 2019, the Venue has been one of the brand’s most successful nameplates, becoming its first compact SUV and its second best-selling model after the Creta. According to SIAM data, cumulative domestic sales stood at 698,844 units at the end of August 2025, leaving it just short of the 700,000-unit milestone, which it comfortably crossed in early September. When combined with exports of over 50,000 units, total Venue sales have now surpassed 750,000 units — an impressive feat in just six years.

That said, the Venue remains a cornerstone of Hyundai’s SUV strategy in India. In FY2025, Hyundai’s SUV sales were led by the Creta (194,871 units), followed by the Venue (119,113 units) and the Exter (77,412 units). The same order continues this fiscal, underscoring the Venue’s ongoing importance to the brand’s portfolio.

With the all-new Venue, Hyundai will aim to reignite interest in the compact SUV segment and recreate the kind of success the Creta enjoys in the midsize SUV market. Expect Hyundai to begin releasing teasers, design sketches, and feature details in the coming weeks as anticipation builds ahead of the SUV’s global debut in India on November 4.
