Montra Electric Partners with Green Drive Mobility to Deploy 50 Electric Commercial Vehicles
The partnership will see deployment of EVIATOR 350 L electric vehicles across multiple delivery segments over three months.
Montra Electric, the clean mobility arm of the Murugappa Group, has entered into a strategic partnership with Green Drive Mobility to deploy 50 EVIATOR electric small commercial vehicles (e-SCVs) across India over the next three months. The collaboration aims to enhance sustainable logistics operations across first-mile, mid-mile, and last-mile delivery segments.
The partnership agreement was signed by Saju Nair, Chief Executive Officer of TIVOLT Electric Private Limited (SCV division of Montra Electric), and Hari Krishna, Founder & CEO of Green Drive Mobility, on July 10, 2025.
The deployment will be conducted in phases, with Green Drive Mobility integrating the EVIATOR vehicles into its tech-driven fleet management system that includes real-time tracking, smart route planning, and AI-led performance analytics. The EVIATOR vehicles feature software-defined vehicle (SDV) technology and advanced telematics solutions designed for commercial applications.
"We are delighted to join hands with Green Drive Mobility. Our partnership with Green Drive represents a pivotal stride in accelerating the adoption of clean mobility solutions across India's transforming logistics ecosystem," said Saju Nair. "The EVIATOR, featuring a cutting-edge electric powertrain and impressive range, is meticulously engineered to meet the diverse and demanding needs of modern transportation across multiple segments."
Hari Krishna emphasized the operational benefits of the partnership: "At Green Drive Mobility, our mission is to empower ESG-focused organizations with sustainable and efficient last-mile delivery solutions. The integration of Montra Electric's EVIATOR into our fleet is transformative. The EVIATOR stands out with its exceptional range, robust load-carrying capacity, and superior power and torque -- all while ensuring maximum driver comfort."
The EVIATOR is part of Montra Electric's expanding portfolio that includes India's first 55-ton electric truck trailer RHINO, the 3.5-ton small commercial vehicle EVIATOR, and the last-mile delivery solution SUPER CARGO. The company operates across four business verticals: heavy commercial vehicles, mid and small commercial vehicles, last-mile three-wheelers, and electric tractors.
Montra Electric operates under TI Clean Mobility Private Limited, which is backed by the Murugappa Group, a 125-year-old conglomerate with annual revenues of INR 778 billion (77,881 crore). The group has nine listed companies and maintains a workforce of over 83,500 employees across various sectors including agriculture, engineering, and financial services.
The partnership comes as India accelerates its transition toward electric mobility, with the government promoting electric vehicle adoption through various policy initiatives and incentives. The commercial electric vehicle segment has been gaining traction as logistics companies seek to reduce operational costs and meet sustainability targets.
Green Drive Mobility focuses on providing sustainable logistics solutions to organizations with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments. The company's fleet management system incorporates advanced telematics for operational efficiency and performance optimization.
