Montra Electric Opens New e-SCV Dealership in Gurugram with SOL Automotive as Partner
Montra Electric opens e-SCV dealership in Gurugram with SOL Automotive, offering sales, service, and support for its EViator model in the growing electric commercial vehicle market.
Montra Electric, the electric mobility division of the Murugappa Group, has launched a new dealership for its electric small commercial vehicles (e-SCVs) in Gurugram, marking an expansion into the Delhi-NCR region. The facility, operated by SOL Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., will serve as a 3S center offering sales, service, spare parts, and charging solutions.
Located on NH-8 in Kherki Daula, the dealership is designed to support the growing demand for sustainable commercial transportation in one of North India’s key logistics hubs. It will showcase the EViator, Montra Electric’s 3.5-ton e-SCV, which the company says is engineered for durability, efficiency, and high load-carrying capacity.
The showroom was inaugurated by Saju Nair, CEO of TIVOLT Electric Vehicles Private Limited — the SCV division of Montra Electric — and Rajesh Gulia, Director of SOL Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., in the presence of business partners, customers, and industry stakeholders.
Saju Nair stated that the Delhi-NCR region is a strategic priority in Montra Electric’s national rollout plan. “This dealership strengthens our ability to deliver high-performance electric vehicles tailored for urban logistics and freight operations,” he said. “Our collaboration with SOL Automotive supports our goal of advancing clean and efficient mobility solutions across the region.”
Rajesh Gulia emphasized that the partnership aligns with increasing market demand for eco-friendly transport options. “We are pleased to bring the EViator to Gurugram’s commercial fleet operators. This facility is equipped to provide a seamless ownership experience, from purchase to after-sales support,” he added.
The EViator is powered by an 80 kW motor producing 300 Nm of torque, with a certified range of 245 km and a real-world range of approximately 170 km under typical load conditions. The vehicle features integrated telematics for fleet monitoring and claims over 95% uptime. It also comes with an extended warranty of up to 7 years or 250,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
Montra Electric, officially registered as TI Clean Mobility Private Limited, operates under the 125-year-old Murugappa Group, which has diversified interests in engineering, agriculture, financial services, and industrial manufacturing. The company’s product lineup includes electric trucks, three-wheelers for passenger and cargo transport, and India’s first electric tractor, the E-27.
The Gurugram outlet is part of Montra Electric’s broader strategy to expand its dealer and service network across India, particularly in urban and semi-urban markets where last-mile delivery and intra-city logistics are seeing rapid electrification.
