Montra Electric Commences Delivery of First Batch of Electric Commercial Trucks
The commercial vehicle manufacturer initiates a multi-stage logistics deployment out of its Manesar facility to establish long haul electric freight networks.
Montra Electric has the dispatch of the first batch of 65 heavy-duty electric commercial vehicles from its production facility in Manesar, Haryana. The rollout forms the initial phase of a larger 260-unit fleet order intended for commercial deployment across primary domestic industrial freight corridors.
The phased vehicle introduction marks a transition from localized pilot tests to commercial-scale fleet electrification within major industrial sectors. The initial allocation of the Rhino 5538 EV model variants will operate across infrastructure routes supporting the mining, cement, steel, and construction material logistics sectors. According to internal assembly timelines, the remaining 195 heavy commercial vehicles from the order pipeline are scheduled for delivery over the upcoming months.
The heavy commercial trucks utilize integrated telematics alongside specialized electric powertrains configured to maintain operational uptimes during long-haul freight distribution cycles. Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director at Montra Electric, stated that the corporate logistics ecosystem is moving toward structural electric vehicle integration to manage localized distribution overheads.
