Michelin India has opened two Michelin Tyres & Services (MTS) stores in Delhi, expanding its retail presence in Dwarka and Karol Bagh. The outlets will offer the company's passenger car tyre range, including the Made-in-India Primacy 5, along with tyre fitment and maintenance services.
The Dwarka outlet has been established in partnership with Excellent Tyres and covers 1,500 sq ft. Founded in 1994, Excellent Tyres operates in Delhi's tyre retail market, with the new store serving customers in Dwarka and the surrounding south-west Delhi region.
The Karol Bagh outlet, set up in partnership with Rana Tyres, spans 1,000 sq ft. Rana Tyres was established in 1977 and is now managed by the third generation of the founding business. The store is located in Karol Bagh, an established automotive trade hub in central Delhi.
Michelin India Retail Expansion in Delhi
The new facilities were inaugurated by Benjamin Coesnon, marketing director, Michelin India.
Shantanu Deshpande, managing director, Michelin India, said the expansion is intended to improve access to the company's products and services in Delhi's premium passenger car market. The Made-in-India Primacy 5 will also be available through the two outlets.
Michelin India Distribution Network and Chennai Plant Investment
The expansion follows Michelin's efforts to increase its distribution network in India, which the company says now covers more than 800 points of sale. Michelin has invested more than ₹2,800 crore in its Chennai manufacturing facility and a further ₹686 crore in a passenger car tyre production line that manufactures the Primacy 5 for the Indian market.
