Hyundai Motor India Engineering Earns ARAI Cybersecurity and Software Update Certifications
Hyundai's research arm secures Confirmation of Compliance for AIS:189 cybersecurity and AIS:190 software update standards alongside Kia India.

Hyundai Motor India Engineering and Kia India have received regulatory Confirmation of Compliance (CoC) certifications from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) for vehicle cybersecurity and software update management systems.
The technical approval certifies Hyundai Motor India Engineering's Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) under standard AIS:189 and its Software Update Management System (SUMS) under standard AIS:190. The certifications cover organizational governance for securing connected vehicle electronics and managing over-the-air (OTA) software updates across product lifecycles.
ARAI Director Reji Mathai presented the compliance certificates to ChangYeon Cho, Director of Hyundai Motor India Engineering, in the presence of ARAI Senior Deputy Directors Abdul Jabbar Akbar Badusha, Anand Deshpande, and Dr. Prasanna Bhat.
