Michelin India Opens First Tyres & Services Store in Lucknow with Tyre On Wheels

Michelin India has opened its first Michelin Tyres & Services store in Lucknow, in collaboration with Tyre On Wheels, a local automotive service provider with outlets in Gomtinagar and Ashiyana Chauraha. The new store marks Michelin’s entry into the retail tyre services market in the Uttar Pradesh capital and aims to cater to the city’s growing demand for organised, premium tyre care.

The store will offer a range of Michelin tyres for passenger vehicles along with services including wheel alignment, balancing, and tyre fitment using dedicated equipment. The launch comes at a time when Lucknow is witnessing an increase in private vehicle ownership and intercity travel, prompting a shift towards trusted brands and quality after-sales support.

Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director of Michelin India, said that the company is expanding its footprint in emerging urban centres like Lucknow. He described the partnership with Tyre On Wheels as an effort to deliver consistent customer service and access to quality products in growing automotive markets.

Established over six decades ago, Tyre On Wheels is a third-generation business offering tyre sales, alignment services, nitrogen filling, and alloy wheels. The new store is expected to function as a one-stop destination for tyre-related services for local customers.

Michelin, headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, France, operates in 175 countries and employs around 129,800 people. The company manufactures tyres and engineered components for several sectors, including mobility, energy, and healthcare, and also provides connected fleet solutions and publishes the Michelin Guide.
