MG Unveils 2026 MG4 and New Flagship MG 07 Coupe at Beijing Auto Show
The automaker also announced a May global debut for its upcoming MG 4X electric SUV
MG presented its updated 2026 MG4 hatchback at the Beijing Auto Show on April 30, 2026. The electric vehicle is available in six variants and introduces new exterior paint options, a black floating roof, and 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Underneath, the vehicle utilizes a semi-solid battery, cell-to-body integration, and an integrated thermal management system.
Inside the cabin, the new MG4 features an 8-inch driver instrument display alongside a 15.6-inch high-definition central touchscreen with wireless CarPlay support. The front seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, massage, and memory functions. The manufacturer also upgraded the vehicle's intelligent driver assistance systems to handle complex parking scenarios, including nose-in and dead-end parking.
Alongside the hatchback, the automaker revealed the MG 07, a flagship coupe that will be offered in both pure electric and plug-in hybrid configurations. To support the new model, MG announced a strategic partnership with autonomous driving technology company Momenta. The MG 07 will integrate the Momenta R7 solution and the XHEART X7 chip, a system designed to provide urban Navigate on Autopilot capabilities and a parking-space-to-parking-space driving experience.
Furthermore, the company confirmed that a new electric SUV, named the MG 4X, will make its global debut in May. The entry-level variant of the MG 4X will feature rear-wheel drive, a five-link independent suspension, and a semi-solid battery as standard equipment.
