MG India Reports Three Percent Sales Growth in April 2026
The automaker dispatched 6,018 units during the month despite supply chain disruptions stemming from global geopolitical tensions.
JSW MG Motor India recorded a three percent year on year increase in wholesale volumes for April 2026, dispatching 6,018 units to dealers. The automaker maintained steady sales momentum across both its internal combustion engine and new energy vehicle portfolios compared to the same month in 2025.
This volume growth was achieved despite the ongoing crisis in West Asia, which the company noted has disrupted global supply chains, impacted consumer sentiment, and led to softer overall demand within the broader automotive market.
In upcoming product developments, the company is preparing to launch the MG Majestor this month, which will serve as its entry into the D plus sports utility vehicle segment. To support the upcoming launch, JSW MG Motor India has opened pre bookings for the vehicle at an initial amount of Rs 41,000. The automaker is also offering a specific ownership program for the first 3,000 customers who book the new model, which includes a five year unlimited kilometer warranty, five years of roadside assistance, and five labour free services.
