Mercedes-Benz India inaugurated a new luxury sales facility in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on January 19, 2026, marking the company's continued expansion into emerging urban markets across India.

The showroom, operated by franchise partner Landmark Cars, is located in Habib Ganj and spans 1,100 square feet. Construction was completed in 4.5 months.

The facility uses Mercedes-Benz's "Stars at Mercedes-Benz" format, designed to display multiple brand lines including Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Maybach, AMG, and G-Class vehicles at a single location. The format allows staff to switch between brand logos and elements with minimal manual effort depending on which model is on display.

The showroom includes a dedicated customer consultation area and is staffed by approximately 10 trained professionals.

Network Expansion Plans

Emrah Oezer, CFO and Executive Director of Mercedes-Benz India, said the company maintains momentum in the Indian market and plans to launch 12 new products this year. The company will also expand local production, launch MB.Charge Public charging infrastructure, and upgrade its dealership network.

Mercedes-Benz plans to add 20 new touchpoints and upgrade 15 existing facilities to international standards. Franchise partners have invested Rs. 470 crores in dealership and service outlet upgrades.

The company currently operates more than 140 outlets across 50+ cities in India.

According to the company, Mercedes-Benz saw increased sales in top-end vehicles and battery electric vehicles in 2025, along with revenue growth. The company described Bhopal as an important emerging market.

Sanjay Thakker, Chairman and Executive Director of Landmark Cars, said the new facility brings the total number of Mercedes-Benz sales outlets operated by Landmark Cars to nine across India, with additional expansion planned.

Mercedes-Benz India has operated in the country for 30 years and maintains a production facility in Chakan near Pune, established in 2009. The facility has received investment of more than Rs. 3,000 crores.
