Steelbird Hi-Tech India has reported cumulative sales of 1 million units of its SBA-20 helmet since its launch in January 2024.
The SBA-20 is positioned in the company's mass and mid-price segments and is aimed at daily commuters and riders looking for a combination of safety features and styling.
The helmet features a high-impact thermoplastic shell and a high-density expanded polystyrene (EPS) liner. It complies with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) safety standard IS 4151:2015. Other features include a flip-up design, an integrated inner sun shield, a micrometric buckle and a polycarbonate spoiler.
It also gets a ventilation system, a replaceable and washable interior, a wind deflector and a reflective element around the neck area. The visor has an anti-scratch coating and is available in Smoke and Chrome finishes.
Depending on the variant, the SBA-20 is priced between Rs 1,869 and Rs 2,459. The company said its distribution network and dealer partnerships have helped expand the model's availability across metropolitan cities and smaller markets.
Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director, Steelbird Hi-Tech India, said the sales achievement reflected consumer acceptance of the company's approach to combining safety, comfort, design and affordability.
Steelbird said it would continue to focus on expanding its helmet portfolio and improving access to safety products across India's two-wheeler market.
