Mercedes-Benz India has announced a leadership reshuffle within its Sales & Marketing division, effective September 1, 2026, as the luxury carmaker sharpens its focus on data-driven customer engagement, AI adoption, and integrated retail finance.

Nandita Godbole, currently General Manager of the Digital Customer Unit, will step into the role of Head of Marketing, taking over from Amrit Baid. Godbole has previously worked across marketing, retail sales, and digital customer functions at the company, and is expected to prioritize real-time data and predictive analytics to personalize customer interactions.

Baid, in turn, will move to lead the Retail Finance & Pre-Owned Cars business — a vertical that now supports over half of all cars sold by the company and has grown into a portfolio worth more than ₹15,000 crore.

In another change, Jamsheed Bhadha, currently General Manager for Product Planning & Sales Planning, will take on a new assignment with Mercedes-Benz in Dubai. He will be succeeded by Sanjay Kochar, presently heading TEV & BEV Sales.

Announcing the changes, Brendon Sissing, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Mercedes-Benz India, said the moves reflect the company's effort to build cross-functional leadership experience while keeping customer experience at the center of its strategy. He credited outgoing and incoming executives for their contributions and said the changes would help shape the next phase of the company's growth.

The announcement comes as Mercedes-Benz marks 140 years since Carl Benz's original automobile patent, with a global anniversary campaign running through October.
