Maruti Suzuki July Sales Rise 34% As Domestic Volumes Hit Record High Of 2 Lakh Units

Maruti Suzuki India reported total sales of 241,421 units in July 2026, up 33.7 per cent from 180,526 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales, including passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles, reached an all-time high of 200,123 units, while exports declined year-on-year to 30,056 units.

The company's total domestic sales, including supplies to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), stood at 211,365 units, compared with 148,781 units in July 2025. Sales to other OEMs increased to 11,242 units from 8,211 units a year earlier, while exports fell from 31,745 units to 30,056 units.

Within the passenger vehicle business, domestic sales rose to 196,203 units from 137,776 units in July 2025. The compact and mid-size car segment, comprising models such as the Baleno, Swift, Dzire and WagonR, remained the company's largest contributor with sales of 90,822 units, up from 65,840 units a year ago.

Utility vehicle sales increased to 78,851 units from 52,773 units during the same period. The segment includes the Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris and XL6.

Sales of mini cars, comprising the Alto and S-Presso, rose to 12,634 units from 6,822 units, while Eeco van sales increased to 13,896 units from 12,341 units. Super Carry light commercial vehicle sales stood at 3,920 units, compared with 2,794 units in July 2025.

For the April-July period of FY2026-27, Maruti Suzuki's total sales reached 924,145 units, compared with 708,387 units in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Domestic passenger vehicle sales during the four months stood at 721,431 units, while exports increased to 154,792 units.
