Manoj Kolhatkar steps down as MD of Gabriel India, Atul Jaggi to take over
Gabriel India's President and Deputy Managing Director Atul Jaggi will take over the reins from Manoj Kolhatkar who joined the Anand Group in 2011.
After more than 13 years at Tier-1 major Anand Group, Manoj Kolhatkar, the incumbent Managing Director of Anand Group's flagship company Gabriel India, has stepped down from his role citing personal reasons, the company intimated the stock exchanges today.
Kolhatkar, who joined the Anand Group in 2011, had transitioned after an illustrious career of over two decades at the Tata Group, serving as the CEO of Tata Yazaki, and Tata AutoComp’s Interior and Plastic division, respectively. Kolhatkar was also the joint COO of the Anand Automotive Group.
His tenure at Gabriel India will come to an end on October 17, 2024, wherein Kolhatkar shall also cease to be a member of the stakeholder relationship committee and CSR committee of the Board of Gabriel India on the same date.
A mechanical engineer from the Nagpur University of Nagpur, and with a degree in business management from the Pune University, Kolhatkar was stationed in Pune at the Gabriel India mother plant in Chakan.
In addition to his full-time role at Gabriel India, Kolhatkar is also involved in the activities of industry body ACMA as a member of its executive committee and also serves in the Governing Council of the Automotive Skills Development Council.
Atul Jaggi to take charge
Atul Jaggi, the former Deputy Managing Director of Gabriel India, and currently the MD of Mahle Anand Filter Systems, has been chosen to take over as the new MD from October 18, 2024, for five years. Jaggi has automotive industry experience of over 25 years
The company is a leading manufacturer of suspension systems including shock absorbers and dampers for two-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and passenger vehicles, and has also captured a major share of the EV segment in India. Under Kolhatkar's leadership, it aims to be among the Top 5 suspension systems players in the world, while also eyeing diversification and other M&A opportunities.
