Mahindra announced that its Charge_iN public electric vehicle charging infrastructure has reached 50 operational stations across the country, crossing 200 live charging points nationwide.
Mahindra also announced operationalisation of its first joint facility with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, located along the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
The commissioning follows an agreement signed between Mahindra and HPCL in March 2026 to set up high-capacity charging points across the oil marketing company's nationwide retail fuel outlet network.
Mahindra said it plans to scale the Charge_iN footprint to 250 stations housing approximately 1,000 charging points by December 2027, with multiple joint highway locations currently in various stages of engineering and civil construction.
The Charge_iN infrastructure deploys 180 kW dual-gun direct current fast chargers designed to replenish Mahindra's Electric SUV lineup—comprising the XEV 9e, BE 6 Sporteq, and XEV 9S—from 20% to 80% state of charge in approximately 20 minutes under standard operating conditions.
While developed alongside Mahindra's electric vehicle portfolio, the network operates as an open ecosystem accessible to multi-brand passenger electric vehicle users through the Charge_iN by Mahindra app, the Me4U platform, third-party aggregators, and the HP eCharge application.
