Mahindra Reveals Scorpio Lifestyler Pickup
Production version of Global Pik Up concept to launch in India by April 2027 and expand across international markets.
Mahindra & Mahindra has officially unveiled the production-ready version of its Global Pik Up concept, christened as the Scorpio Lifestyler for the Indian market. Set to make its commercial debut by April 2027, the midsize lifestyle pickup will be introduced in India with prices starting below Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom). For overseas markets, the model will carry the Mahindra Lifestyler nameplate, targeting established pickup regions across Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the wider African continent, the Middle East, and Latin America.
First showcased as a concept vehicle in Cape Town in August 2023, the production model was styled at the Mahindra India Design Studio in Mumbai and developed at the Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai. The pickup is built on Mahindra's next-generation body-on-frame platform, combining utility payload capability with everyday driving comfort and modern safety standards. To demonstrate its versatility across diverse environments, Mahindra showcased three distinctive editions at the unveil, including the Artemis Grey Valley Edition for everyday usability, the ocean-inspired Aquareef Reef Edition for outdoor exploration, and the Sahara Beige Trail Edition built for off-road adventure.
"From the outset, our vision was to create a world-class global pickup that raises the bar for the segment while remaining true to Mahindra's strengths in authentic capability and value. The Scorpio Lifestyler is a testament to the strong product development capabilities at Mahindra Research Valley," said Dr. Velusamy R, President of the Automotive Business at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
"The Scorpio Lifestyler represents the convergence of global engineering and evolving customer aspirations. As we prepare for its India launch, we see a growing appetite among customers for a vehicle that delivers authentic capability without compromising on technology, safety, comfort or everyday usability," added Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
