Mahindra Reports 37% Growth in Domestic Tractor Sales for December 2025

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Business recorded domestic tractor sales of 30,210 units in December 2025, representing a 37% increase over the 22,019 units sold in December 2024.

Total tractor sales, including exports, reached 31,859 units during the month, compared to 22,943 units in the corresponding period last year. Export volumes stood at 1,649 units, marking a 78% increase year-on-year.

Veejay Nakra, President of the Farm Equipment Business at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., attributed the performance to improved market liquidity following favorable crop yields from the Kharif harvest. He noted that conducive weather conditions and adequate reservoir levels have contributed to increased Rabi sowing acreage, which is expected to support demand in the coming months.

For the fiscal year to date (April-December 2025), Mahindra has sold 3,91,890 tractors in the domestic market, a 21% increase over the 3,24,327 units sold during the same period in the previous fiscal year. Total sales including exports reached 4,06,592 units, compared to 3,36,623 units in the year-ago period.

Export performance for the fiscal year showed 14,702 units sold, up 20% from 12,296 units in the corresponding period last year.

Mahindra is the world's largest tractor manufacturer by volume and maintains a leadership position in India's farm equipment sector. The company, founded in 1945, operates across multiple sectors including utility vehicles, information technology, and financial services, with a presence in over 100 countries.
