The new variant features piano black accents, all-black leatherette seats with suede touches, and a vibrant Citrine Yellow color option alongside existing shades.
Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced the Thar ROXX STAR EDN, a design-focused addition to its popular SUV lineup. The new variant starts at an introductory price of ₹16.85 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel manual rear-wheel-drive configuration.
The STAR EDN distinguishes itself through aesthetic upgrades including a piano black front grille, matching piano black R19 alloy wheels, and all-black leatherette seats featuring suede accents. A new Citrine Yellow color joins the existing palette of Tango Red, Everest White, and Stealth Black.
The variant maintains the Thar ROXX's mechanical specifications, offering two engine options: the 2.0-liter G20 TGDi mStallion petrol engine producing 130 kW and 380 Nm of torque, and the 2.2-liter D22 mHawk diesel generating 128.6 kW and 400 Nm. All variants come with rear-wheel drive, available in both manual and automatic transmissions.
Standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, fully automatic temperature control, a 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a nine-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Safety features comprise six airbags, a surround-view camera, tire pressure monitoring, and parking sensors.
The Thar ROXX STAR EDN is priced at ₹17.85 lakh for the petrol automatic, ₹16.85 lakh for the diesel manual, and ₹18.35 lakh for the diesel automatic. The petrol manual variant is not available in this edition.
Since its 2024 launch, the Thar ROXX has received 36 awards, including 15 Car of the Year titles and the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2025 award.
