Mahindra Launches FURIO 8 LCV Series with Mileage Assurance Scheme

Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division (MTB), part of the Mahindra Group, has launched the Mahindra FURIO 8—its latest range of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs). The series is supported by a mileage guarantee, offering customers the option to return the vehicle if it does not deliver higher mileage compared to their existing LCVs.

Manufactured at Mahindra’s Chakan facility in Maharashtra, the FURIO 8 comes in two variants—4-tyre cargo and 6-tyre cargo—suited for various business applications. The truck features a wider 7-foot loading area and offers load body lengths of 20 feet for the 4-tyre and 22 feet for the 6-tyre variant.

The truck is powered by Mahindra’s mDi Tech engine with Dual Mode FuelSmart technology, aimed at delivering mileage across different operating conditions. Additional features include Mahindra iMAXX telematics, which provides real-time tracking, vehicle health monitoring, and driver performance analytics.

Dr. Venkat Srinivas, Business Head, MTB & CE, added, “Mahindra FURIO 8 is engineered to deliver higher earnings, lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), minimal maintenance, and unmatched safety, comfort, and convenience – ensuring profit, peace of mind and higher prosperity for our customers.”

The FURIO 8 also comes with two service guarantees: a 36-hour workshop turnaround or ₹3,000 compensation per additional day, and a 48-hour breakdown recovery commitment or ₹1,000 for each delayed day.

Mahindra has positioned the FURIO 8 as a vehicle focused on reducing total cost of ownership while enhancing customer profitability. The truck will be supported by a nationwide network of over 400 service touchpoints.

Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division (MTB) is a part of the Automotive and Farm Equipment Sector of the Mahindra Group. It plays a key role in delivering commercial transportation solutions across India. The division offers a comprehensive range of commercial vehicles that include Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCVs), Intermediate Commercial Vehicles (ICVs), Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs), and buses, catering to diverse market needs such as cargo movement, people transport, and specialized applications like bulkers, tippers, and refrigerated trucks.

MTB’s HCVs and ICVs are manufactured at the company’s modern manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune. This facility, which spans over 700 acres, was established with an investment of over ₹4,000 crore and also produces other Mahindra vehicles. Meanwhile, the LCVs and buses are manufactured at the Zaheerabad plant in Telangana. The company follows the “Made in India, Made for India” philosophy, designing products specifically to suit Indian road and operational conditions.

MTB places a strong emphasis on minimizing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while maximizing uptime and profitability for its customers. This is supported by an expanding network of over 400 service touchpoints, including 3S dealerships, authorized service centers, mobile service vans, and parts retailers. The company also operates India’s first multi-lingual 24x7 helpline and mobile service assistance.

Mahindra’s iMAXX telematics technology is integrated across its truck range. This platform offers advanced features such as vehicle tracking, geofencing, real-time health monitoring, and driver behavior analytics, helping fleet owners manage operations more efficiently.

Through consistent innovation and customer-centric offerings, Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division continues to strengthen its position in the Indian commercial vehicle market, focusing on reliability, service reach, and value-driven transport solutions.
