Mahindra Introduces Racing-Inspired BE 6 Formula E Edition at ₹23.69 Lakh

Mahindra has launched the BE 6 Formula E Edition, positioning it as the world's first Formula E-themed special edition SUV. The vehicle is priced at ₹23.69 lakh for the FE2 variant, with an FE3 version available at ₹24.49 lakh.

Bookings for the limited-edition model open on January 14, 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin a month later on February 14, 2026.

The BE 6 Formula E Edition incorporates design elements inspired by the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, where Mahindra competes as the only Indian team. The exterior features include a signature front bumper with circular projector headlamps, R20 alloy wheels, orange brake calipers, and Formula E badging across multiple vehicle surfaces.

Four color options are available: Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red, and Stealth Black. The interior features orange-themed accents throughout the cabin, including on the steering wheel, seats, and dashboard panels, along with FIA branding on seat belts.

The vehicle's performance specifications include a 79 kWh battery pack delivering 282 bhp (210 kW) of power. According to the manufacturer, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, reaches a top speed of 202 km/h, and offers a real-world range of 500 km. The battery can charge from 20 to 80 percent in 20 minutes using a 180 kW DC charger.

Mahindra has appointed Kush Maini, an FIA Formula 2 race winner and member of the Mahindra Formula E Racing team, as brand ambassador for its Electric Origin SUVs. Maini, who is mentored by two-time Formula 1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen, will represent the vehicle line.

The first 999 customers will receive benefits including a track-day experience at Mahindra's Proving Track with Maini, a collector's box with racing memorabilia, and the option to select a custom number decal for their vehicle. Their first names will also appear on the Mahindra Racing car competing at the London E-Prix. Three customers will be selected to receive tickets and paddock access to the London E-Prix in August 2026.

The company also announced a BE 6 Formula E Edition Ride-On vehicle for children, priced at ₹18,000 and scheduled for release in April 2026.

R Velusamy, President of Automotive Business at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., stated that customer feedback indicated the BE 6 evokes a racing cockpit sensation. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer of the Automotive Division, described the edition as bringing racing spirit to street vehicles.
