Mahindra has broadened its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership program across its complete Electric Origin SUV lineup, extending the dual-financing option to the BE 6 SPORTEQ, XEV 9S, and XEV 9e.
Under the revised structure, upfront vehicle prices start at Rs 11.45 lakh for the BE 6 SPORTEQ, Rs 12.65 lakh for the XEV 9S, and Rs 13.90 lakh for the XEV 9e. The separate battery financing model carries an effective running cost calculated at Rs 3.75 per kilometre, based on an initial monthly battery EMI of Rs 6,975 assuming a daily running average of 60 kilometres alongside a specified down payment.

BaaS separates the battery pack, usually the most expensive part of an EV, from the capital cost of the vehicle, providing a drop in the upfront price of the EV. Mahindra said it operates as a dual-loan arrangement managed by respective financiers rather than a pay-per-use plan, with EMI values dependent on battery size, tenure, and down payment levels. The listed vehicle prices exclude charging equipment, road tax, insurance, registration fees, maintenance, and charging expenses.
