Mahindra Brings Back the BE 6 Batman Edition After 999 Units Sold Out in 135 Seconds
The Dark Knight-inspired electric SUV, priced at ₹28.49 lakh ex-showroom, returns for a one-day booking window on March 10, with deliveries expected from April.
Mahindra has announced the return of its BE 6 Batman Edition, reopening bookings for the limited-run electric SUV following strong demand from fans who missed the original launch window. The automaker confirmed that the initial allocation of 999 units sold out in just 135 seconds after going on sale.
Developed in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the BE 6 Batman Edition is built on the top-end Pack Three 79 kWh variant of the BE 6 and carries an ex-showroom price of ₹28.49 lakh. The vehicle draws its visual identity from Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy, featuring a custom Satin Black exterior, Alchemy Gold-painted suspension and brake callipers, and The Dark Knight Trilogy Bat emblem displayed across multiple surfaces — including hub caps, front quarter panels, rear bumper, and windows.
Inside, the cabin receives suede and leather upholstery with gold sepia accent stitching, a brushed Alchemy Gold Batman Edition dashboard plaque, and Batman-themed embossing on the seats, Boost button, and interior labels. A custom welcome animation on the infotainment display and Batman-inspired exterior engine sounds are also included.
According to Mahindra, the renewed round of bookings was prompted by sustained social media interest from customers who were unable to secure a unit in the initial sale. The company noted that the original 999 vehicles "remain the founding chapter" of the Batman Edition story, with this follow-up described as a limited-time opportunity.
Prospective buyers can register their preference on mahindraelectricsuv.com starting March 6. Bookings open on March 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM for a single day. Existing BE 6 Batman Edition owners who refer new buyers will be given priority delivery. Deliveries are expected to begin on April 10, 2026.
The BE 6 Batman Edition is among a growing segment of branded special editions in the Indian passenger vehicle market, combining mainstream EV hardware with licensed intellectual property to target collector and enthusiast audiences.
