Magenta Mobility, India's largest commercial electric vehicle logistics solutions provider, announced Monday that CEO and Director Maxson Lewis will transition to Founder and Chairman while Sujit Cherian takes over as Chief Executive Officer. The leadership change positions the Mumbai-based company for accelerated growth as India pursues aggressive electrification targets for its transport sector.
The transition occurs amid India's push toward net-zero emissions and rapid electrification of logistics operations. The commercial EV sector has gained momentum as companies seek to reduce carbon footprints while government policies incentivize clean transportation adoption.
In his new CEO role, Cherian will oversee strategic vision, operational excellence, commercial partnerships, and market expansion. Lewis will focus on long-term strategy, technology development, and advancing clean mobility initiatives with industry bodies and government agencies.

Magenta operates over 2,700 electric vehicles across 22 cities, serving e-commerce, grocery, FMCG, and pharmaceutical companies for mid and last-mile deliveries. The company has completed over 600 million clean kilometers and handles 36,000 deliveries daily through its integrated software platform NorMinc.
The company maintains 100 charging depots with 1,500+ chargers and employs over 2,700 delivery executives. Its operations have offset 3,200 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
