Lumax Auto Technologies has received the TPM Excellence Award from the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance, marking its second consecutive year of recognition under the global Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) framework.
The award, presented in Kyoto, is considered a benchmark for manufacturing performance, evaluating companies on parameters such as operational efficiency, maintenance practices, and continuous improvement systems.
In a statement, Vikas Marwah said the recognition reflects the company’s focus on strengthening shop-floor processes and execution discipline. He noted that business and plant leadership teams represented the company at the award ceremony, highlighting their role in driving operational outcomes.
Marwah added that manufacturing performance is largely determined at the operational level, where teams manage production processes, respond to customer requirements, and implement improvement initiatives.
He also outlined the role of leadership as setting direction, building capabilities, and enabling execution, while retaining overall accountability for business outcomes.
The recognition underscores Lumax Auto Technologies’ continued emphasis on TPM-led manufacturing practices and operational consistency across its facilities.
